Are you like me and struggle with keyword research? I can find keywords all day long. The problem is though that most are next to useless, or at least seem to be.
I always believed that Google’s keyword tool gave highly accurate results. I mean, they wouldn’t be telling fibs about their data, would they? Well, it turns out the figures aren’t always right.
The keyword data you see will be out of date and wrong. However it would have been when they collated it. I accidentally discovered the answer to that puzzle.
I was going for a keyword that had roughly five thousand competing pages. I was feeling confident enough to rank well with this one. I put out probably thousands of articles.
Not long after I saw that there were now almost nine thousand competing sites. I could hardly believe that. Had there been some mistake? As it happens most of these extra results were my articles on these different sites.
If I had saw 9000 competing sites I would have passed this keyword by. A lot of these sites were ranking with my article so I had a lot of competition but most of it was my own articles. Not a bad situation to be in if you ask me.
I got lucky on that keyword but I suspected I may not get lucky again so I made the decision to try out a keyword research service. Hopefully I could get some golden keywords delivered to my inbox every day. I had figured that the daily cost against how much work I would save is value for my money.
Of the keyword research services on offer I opted to try Travis Sago’s Instacash. Travis being numero uno in the bum marketing world. Bum marketing is something I really like.
If I can get a keyword or two in my in box each day then that saves me valuable time. At least a two hour saving. And a couple hours work is pretty valuable to me. If I put the time saved up against the daily cost it shows clearly there’s value to be had.
All the big marketers bang on about outsourcing. I reckon there’s not much difference here. I’m paying someone else to research my keywords. I reckon that’s outsourcing.
